Italferr has over the last few years expanded its overseas activities: in 2002 it set up an Italferr office in Valencia, in Venezuela; in 2007 a subsidiary was opened, in Bucharest, Romania. Representation offices have also been opened in Algeria and in Serbia, for Italferr activities that lack the features for a subsidiary, but these are nevertheless stable, locally registered, organisations.
