Project validation
By accreditation in accordance with Standard UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020:2005, as a Type B Inspection Body, Italferr intends to strengthen its role in the engineering sector, expanding the range of services offered for control and inspection activities for the validation of complex projects, capitalising and harnessing the experience gained and excelling in terms of Customer satisfaction.
The quality objectives which the Inspection Body will pursue are as follows:
increasing the loyalty of its customers, and especially that of the customers from within the FS S.p.A. Group;
satisfying the explicit and implicit needs of its customers;
ensuring constant achievement of the established objectives and the results expected from the project verification activities in terms of guaranteeing technical feasibility, reducing risk of claims, avoiding cost increases, checking feasibility of timing, compliance with implementation programmes and compliance with legislative and contractual requirements;
compliance with the agreed project verification programme of activities;
ensuring constant compliance with the legislations and standards in the sector by all the parties involved in the verification of the projects, from an environmental and safety standpoint, too; ensuring continuous improvement of its services and the results of the verifications.
These objectives will be reached by:
systematic implementation of customer satisfaction analysis and an increase in the perceived level of quality;
continuous communication with the customer aimed at defining the expected quality;
performance of the project verification activities by highly qualified and skilled personnel;
analysis of the duties and implementation of specific training programmes for continuous professional growth;
measurement of the performance of the processes by means of suitable indicators;
use of effective forms of communication aimed at the engagement of all the personnel involved in the project verification activities;
activation of comparative/collaborative relationships with other Inspection Bodies;
capitalisation of experience gained and the use of the feedback provided during the executive phase to improve criteria/methods and the results of the project verifications;
implementation of benchmarking activities with outside parties.
