Italferr S.p.A.is the Italian engineering company of Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane which designs and realises infrastructural and technological interventions foreseen by the investment and enhancement plans for transport in Italy and in many overseas countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America). Italferr also supplies technical assistance to the main development and management companies of various national railway networks all over the world. The services which the Company supplies are highly technological and innovative, following an engineering model aimed at global supervision of the assigned projects and realisations, in a context of modernisation and development which guides its decisions in the national and international fields.

Italferr is one of the first companies in Italy to have obtained accreditation as an Inspection Body for validating projects, in conformity to standard ISO /IEC 17020 and to have obtained certification for the integrated Management System for Quality (ISO 9001), the Environment (ISO 14001) and Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001).

In line with the policies defined by the Parent Company, Italferr has developed a methodology for measurement and reporting, by project, greenhouse gas emissions produced in the activities of design and construction of the new transport infrastructures, in compliance with Standard UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2006.

These significant acknowledgements, obtained by adopting strategies entailing innovation and modernisation, testify Italferr’s role of reference, able to provide high level services conform to international standards and requirements.
