Italferr is responsible for the adaptation, enhancement and renewal of the main routes in the Italian railway network.
The development and upgrading of the historical network according to the most modern standards regarding technology and safety, integrated with the High Speed/High Capacity system, meet the requirements of growth in passenger traffic and national and international goods.
The interventions basically concern:
doubling and quadrupling tracks;
enhancement and regeneration of existing lines;
