Care for the environment constitutes a constant commitment in the whole corporate productive cycle, from assessing investments to design and realisation of the railway infrastructures.
Italferr uses a mixed model at organisational level (Management and Functions) added to which is the Work Team, having a matrix type function.
There are "centres of specialist excellence" in Management and Functions, having the task of managing and developing the technical competencies of resources to be used in the operational job orders.
Italferr updates and uses its internal processes according to continuous improvement logic, by means of a careful and agreed definition of activities, responsibilities and performance levels to be achieved.
So the integrated Management System for Quality (ISO 9001), the Environment (ISO 14001) and Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001), for which Italferr has already obtained certification from SGS (Societé Genèrelle de Surveillance), represents a solid guarantee for all current and future Clients.
The Company, lastly, has developed a method based on scientific and certified criteria (UNI ISO 14064-1:2006) for measuring, mitigating and eliminating greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) generated by infrastructural design and realisation.
These certifications place Italferr among a small number of Companies able to supply Clients with high level services in compliance with international standards and requirements.
The systematic and horizontal concept which straddles the border between the various organisational structures is the company’s strongpoint in relation to meeting the requirements of internal Customers and external Clients.
