Expo Milan 2015

"Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" was the key theme of the exhibition

Italferr participated in the Expo 2015 even, between 16 July 2014 and 30 April 2015, during the construction of the Exhibition site, with 40 dedicated resources and a specialised corporate back up team.
Out of the total 160 pavilions, Italferr provided site supervision services for 100 of them and was also involved in setting up the Children's Park, the Open Air Theatre and the Lake Arena, the technological lake featuring the Tree of Life. Technical, administrative and legal support and environmental monitoring services were likewise provided.
The Expo 2015 infrastructure assignment consisted in High Surveillance activities, site supervision coordination, both on site and with the establishment of new site supervision offices, also by taking over site supervision operations already under way. As part of this extremely complex international engagement, Italferr provided support to the Expo Contracting Authority and the so-called “Single Person in charge of the Procedure”, designated by Expo, with respect to all the technical, legal and administrative matters, with a view to ensuring that all the works were completed within the established timeframe and in compliance with the law.
