Modernisation of the Mezőtúr - Gyoma railway line
Italferr, in association with two Hungarian companies, has provided technical assistance to Hungarian Railways (MAV) for the preparation of the conceptual design and corresponding official documentation for the modernisation of the Mezőtúr - Gyoma railway line, an approximately 18 km section of track which is part of Corridor IV (Dresden/Nuremberg-Prague-Vienna-Budapest/Bucharest-Constance/Sofia-Istambul).
The project is part of a wider Hungarian railway network structural development and adjustment programme to meet European standards and has been 54% financed by European Union ISPA funds and 46% by Hungarian funds.
This activity was completed in 2006.
