BIM&DIGITAL Awards 2019: the awards go to those innovative projects that implement digital technologies and BIM
One of the winners is Italferr with the project for the New Polcevera Bridge
DIGITAL&BIM Italia is the first and only national event dedicated exclusively to digitization and to innovation for the built environment (BolognaFiere, 21 and 22 November). The exhibition, that closed on 22 November, hosted the third edition of BIM&DIGITAL Awards 2019. A jury panel composed of 17 experts in BIM assigned the awards to the most innovative projects that put to use the new digital technologies and BIM to improve performance and become more competitive on the market.
Among the winners, in the ‘Infrastructure’ category, is Italferr with the project for the New Polcevera Bridge in Genoa, that stood out especially for the exportation of the road layout into BIM environments. The work was also presented and discussed at the conference “Smart Infrastructure – Il BIM nella realizzazione e gestione delle linee ferroviarie” (Smart Infrastructure – BIM for the creation and management of railway lines) that was held on the first day of DIGITAL&BIM Italia.
With this third edition of the prestigious BIM&DIGITAL Awards, our company has shown once again how clearly it has perceived the notion that innovation and the use of the most modern technologies are key to changing the ‘built world’.
