Dynamic analysis of railroad decks

In order to control dynamic amplification and vertical acceleration (and thus avoid any resonance phenomena), as well as to assess travel comfort, Italferr carries out dynamic tests at the passage of real high speed trains on railroad decks using finite element models (FEM) calibrated according to the field measurements conducted by Italferr.
This has also allowed, among other things, to assess the possibility of increasing travel speed on the HS lines.
Monitoring of existing bridges to derive real acceleration data.
Measurement of maximum acceleration and of dynamic amplifications for each real train as envisaged by European standards, to assess comfort and safety.
