Italferr "in the front line" at Eurasia Rail 2016 in Istanbul

On 3 March in Istanbul, the 6th edition of Eurasia Rail opened. This is one of the most internationally acclaimed trade fairs in the sector for infrastructure, logistics and rolling stock.Together with Italcertifer, Italferr took pride of place at its stand which spoke volumes of its experience and priorities as well as disseminating technical and specialised know-how.More than 6,000 visitors from 68 different countries flocked to the trade fair which was one more reason for Italferr to be there.
Italferr has been in Turkey since 2013 having undertaken the feasibility study as well as the preliminary and detailed design work for the 27 km link between the airport of Esenboga and Ankara, entitled the “Light Train Connection Esenboga Airport-Ankara, Preliminary and Detailed Design”.
In 2014 it was also appointed to carry out work supervision and revision work on the prestigious Eurasia Tunnel project. Better known as “Istanbul Strait Sub-Sea Tunnel Project”, it relates to a 15 km tunnel which descends below sea level for 3.4 metres and is 25 metres deep. This structure is due to pass over the Bosphorus straits connecting the European bank of Istanbul to the Asian side
