New Delhi, 2 February 2017

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today at New Delhi, in the presence of Carlo Carganico, CEO of Italferr, and Rajeev Mehrotra, President of RITES, a Government of India engineering enterprise. Under the MoU the two companies will cooperate in their respective Indian and Asian markets.
The MoU is part of a broader agreement involving the entire FS Group, signed by Renato Mazzoncini, CEO of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, in the presence of the Minister of Railways  of India Suresh Prabhu and AK Mittal, President of Indian, for the purpose of improving the safety of the country’s railways, modernising the infrastructure and transport management and control systems and, finally, implementing actions for transferring know how and training.
This new cooperation project will help Italferr further strengthen its presence in the region, although it already has a number of important projects under way in India, such as the design and supervision of the works for the construction of the Anji Khad Bridge, a 750 m long bridge with a main span of over 260 m, suspended over a 200 m high gorge.

"This agreement is an important opportunity for developing Italferr’s business in this Country” – said  Carlo Carganico, the company’s CEO - “Entering the client portfolio of one of the largest engineering consulting companies in the world is a huge strategic opportunity to consolidate and expand our business activities in the region”.
