Teheran-Qom-Esfahan High Speed Railway Line
Phase 1
In December 2015, Italferr was retained by the Iranian Islamic Republic Railways (RAI) to assist in the definition of the technical and contractual documentation for the execution of the design and construction of the country’s new High Speed railway line (approximately 415 km of electrified double track) to connect two of Iran’s main cities: Teheran-Qom (135 km) and Qom-Esfahan (280 km, design speed 300 km/h).
Phase 2
Together with Teheran’s major local engineering company, IRAN OSTON, Italfer, starting in December 2016, supplied design verification and works performance control services as Project Management Consultant.
Italferr is managing and supervising the activities carried out by the Chinese contractor CREC within the context of the new HS Tehran-Qom-Esfahan line under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement e Construction) contract. The services shall be supplied over the 5 year period envisaged for the design and construction of the line that will be 415 km long and will allow speeds in excess of 250 km/h.
As from December 2016 for about 4 years +1 year of assistance with commissioning.
