Certifications & Accreditations

Italferr was one of the first companies in Italy to be certified for its Integrated Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001) and to be accredited as an Inspection Body for project validation, under the ISO/IEC 17020 standard and the applicable public procurement regulations.
These important qualifications are a badge of honour awarded to Italferr for our key role in the rail engineering sector and our ability to deliver consistently high services, in keeping with international standards.
In step with the policies laid down by our parent company FS Italiane, at Italferr we have developed a project-based method to measure and report the greenhouse gas emissions produced in connection with the design and construction of new transport infrastructure, pursuant to UNI EN ISO 14064-1.

Italferr has also received a Merit Award from the international certification body SGS for having implemented and completed an Integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) System in 2009. Then, in 2011, as part of the Middle-East Rail Awards, Italferr received further recognition in the form of the Special Merit Award for Commitment to the Environment for our groundbreaking carbon footprint calculation method. These official endorsements have transformed Italferr into a worldwide model of excellence and bear witness to our strong commitment to creating policies that safeguard the environment, health and safety.
