Archaeological Surveys

At Italferr we have the expertise to manage all aspects of archaeological surveys and investigations, such as opening up access to the project area, clearing any explosive ordnance and setting up the construction site.
Field activities are carried out by archaeological survey firms by means of mechanical devices and specialised workforce, including archaeologists, surveyors, draughtsmen, anthropologists, geologists and restorers. Once this stage of the work has been completed, the technical-scientific documentation on the findings and the results of the surveys, which then becomes an integral part of the construction project and the instrument for obtaining the approval of the competent authorities prior to the construction phase.
This groundbreaking approach has enabled Italferr to achieve major results, such as the controlled scheduling of the time and costs needed for the archaeological investigations and a drastic reduction of archaeological discoveries during construction.
