DYNAMIC ANALYSIS ON HIGH SPEED LINES

In order to control dynamic amplification and vertical acceleration and to avoid any resonance phenomena, as well as to assess railway comfort, Italferr performs dynamic analyses as real High Speed trains pass over the railway decks, using finite element models (FEM) calibrated based on measurements made in the field by Italferr itself. This has allowed assessments to be made, among other things, on the possibility of increasing the operating speed of the HS lines assessed.

FEM MODELLING
Field measurements: Monitoring of existing bridges to collect actual acceleration measurements.
Results: Checking maximum accelerations and dynamic amplifications for each real train envisaged by European standards, to assess comfort and safety.
