Within the process of integrating sustainability into the designing of infrastructure, an organic tool has been developed for planning, managing and enhancing the dialogue with the territory during the various life cycle stages of an infrastructure.

Italferr has drafted Operational Guidelines for the management and enhancement of the Stakeholder Engagement process in infrastructure development projects via the mapping, election and quantification of more representative environmental, economic and social performance indicators (KPI) for infrastructure projects in terms of Sustainability.

In detail, this tool helps:

  • plan and design the works while enhancing the benefits generated for the territory and for the communities involved;
  • listen to and inform the various stakeholders, also with an aim to build a widespread network of consensus;
  • use innovative social web monitoring tools for effective dialogue with the stakeholders regarding the themes of interest.
