Sustainability is a fundamental pillar of Italferr’s operational model, as an FS Group company.

Integrating ESG principles in its operations requires a process of in-depth analysis and assessment, to identify the risks, opportunities and impacts along the entire value chain, including the supply chain.

Other necessary tools are reporting and monitoring, to ensure the consistency of strategies, objectives and results, promoting a continuous and verifiable improvement.

MATERIALITY ANALYSIS

Italferr applies the principle of double materiality based on an analysis of the stakeholders’ contexts and the issues they see as significant for them. This preliminary stage leads to the analysis of the impact of the company’s activities on the environment and society at large (impact materiality) and the risks and opportunities of ESG factors for business (financial materiality), in view of the advanced strategic management of material business issues.

SUPPLY CHAIN ASSESMENT

In line with the goals of the Business Plan and with the Group Sustainability Policy, and in accordance with the European Directives, Italferr promotes supplier commitment through their direct involvement, along the supply chain.

All Economic Operators desiring to participate in tendering procedures launched by Italferr may complete a Questionnaire on the dedicated platform at https://esgrating.gruppofs.it/, for an assessment of their sustainability performance.

Find more information on the method and on access to the web platform at RATING ESG.
