India: aperta al pubblico la linea 7 della metropolitana di Mumbai

Italferr (Polo Infrastrutture Gruppo FS), in consorzio internazionale formato da Ayesa SA, Ayesa India Ltd e Consulting Engineering Group Ltd, ha fornito i servizi di General Engineering Consultancy legati alla realizzazione delle linee 7 e 2b della metro di Mumbai.

Una delle città più densamente popolate del mondo con oltre 18 milioni di abitanti, Mumbai ha messo in atto significativi programmi per migliorare le infrastrutture di trasporto ed in particolare quelle su rotaia al fine di alleviare la congestione del traffico e la problematica dell’alto tasso di inquinamento, in buona parte dovuto al trasporto automobilistico.

Il nuovo sistema della metropolitana prevede 9 corridoi sopraelevati per una lunghezza totale di 146,5 km, di cui 32,5 km in sotterranea. La linea 7, inaugurata dal primo ministro indiano Narendra Modi, si estende per circa 17 km tra Andheri Est e Dahisar Est con un totale di 13 stazioni, mentre la linea 2B si sviluppa per circa 23 km tra Nagar a Mandale e include 22 stazioni, collegando la periferia orientale e occidentale della città.

Un grande risultato anche per Italferr, che consolida la propria leadership nel settore del Mass Transit.

Italferr (Polo Infrastrutture Gruppo FS), in an international consortium including Ayesa SA, Ayesa India Ltd and Consulting Engineering Group Ltd, provided General Engineering Consultancy services for the construction of lines 7 and 2b of the Mumbai metro.

One of the most densely populated cities in the world with over 18 million inhabitants, Mumbai has implemented significant programs to improve the transport infrastructure and especially the rail infrastructure in order to improve traffic congestion and the high rate of pollution, largely due to road transport.

The Mumbai Metro System includes 9 corridors covering a length of 146.5 km, out of which 32.5 km is underground and the rest elevated.  The Metro Line 7, inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stretches for about 17 km between Andheri East and Dahisar East with a total of 13 stations, while Line 2B extends for about 23 km between Nagar to Mandale and includes 22 stations, connecting the eastern and western suburbs of the city.

A great result also for Italferr, strenghtening its leadership in the Mass Transit sector.
