KANPUR METRO AND AGRA METRO

In 2020 Italferr, in partnership with the Spanish engineering company Typsa (group leader), awarded the Project Mangement Consulting (PMC) contract for the Kanpur and Agra metro.

The project consists of the construction of 4 tracks with a total length of 62.6 km between the Kanpur and Agra metro stations, including 57 stations and 4 cabins.

Specifically, the new Kanpur metro line will be developed via two main corridors, the first from Kanpur to Naubasta (23.785 km) and the second from "Agricultural University" to Barra (8.60 km), for a total length of about 32 km, with 30 stations and 2 depots. The Agra Metro line also will feature the construction of two corridors connecting Sikandra to Taj East Gate (14 km) and Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar (16.20 km), respectively, for a total length of about 30 km, with 27 stations and 2 depots.

This is Italferr's most important order in India, thanks to which the Company is confirmed as a leader not only in the High-Speed sector but also in the international metropolitan public transport scenario, becoming one of the main players in the Indian engineering market.
