Yesterday 29 November, at the headquarters of the ICE Agency, the presentation of the OICE 2022 Foreign Report was held, prepared in collaboration with the Centro Europa Ricerche and with the support of MAECI and the ICE Agency, on the presence of engineering, architecture and technical-economic consultancy abroad. The presentation, conducted and moderated by the TG2 journalist Luca Moriconi, saw the institutional intervention of the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi, who highlighted how the foreign turnover of engineering and architecture companies in Italy had an impact in 2021 for almost 50% of the sector's turnover.
An important opportunity to share data, statistics, projections and orientations of one of the most strategic sectors of Italian entrepreneurship and highlight the coordinates for internationalization, between unprecedented challenges and opportunities to be seized on the global market.
Among the main players of the day also Italferr, represented by Ilaria d'amore - PE of the Technical Management of the Central-Southern Operational Area, called to intervene as winner of the "Italy Future Leaders Award 2022" and 4th classified at the Europe Future Leaders 2022 award of the EFCA, European Federation of Engineering, Architecture and Consulting Associations of which OICE is a founding member.
The award received by Ilaria D'amore is linked to one of Italferr's most challenging projects, followed by the young Project Engineer: the intervention for the construction of the new Salerno-Reggio Calabria high-speed line, which constitutes the extension of a strategic passenger itinerary and freight for the connection between the south of the peninsula and the north, the country's main axis, 440 km long and 300 km/h line speed. Italferr, commissioned by RFI, drew up the technical-economic feasibility project of the upgrading interventions, with high-speed characteristics, of the Salerno - Reggio Calabria and Battipaglia - Potenza - Metaponto railway line.
An important recognition for the company, which thanks to its people confirms itself among the major players on the national and international engineering scene.
This was followed by an interesting round table entitled "Future trends and the role of international financial institutions in development. The point of view of the main players" which brought together the points of view of seven OICE main players, including Italferr represented by Roberto Borghi – Head of the Foreign Market and No Captive Department.Italferr, underlined Borghi "has worked with IFIs financed opportunities since the beginning of the internationalization process, initially with the first activities in the Balkans, to then move to the Middle East, Africa , Asia and, currently, in South America for the project of line 1 of the Bogota metro in Colombia".
The company exports its skills and services for the development of complex projects in various parts of the world and is now recognized as an excellence of Made in Italy, capable of making a difference on the international scene.
