Italferr together with the Infrastructure Hub at “World Landslide Forum” 2023

Italferr, the Engineering Company of the Infrastructure Hub of FS Group, the Italian State Railways Group, meets scientists and technicians from all over the world at the World Landslide Forum 2023 to discuss and update on all aspects relating to landslide phenomena.

In a geologically fragile context such as that of Italy, the expertise of Italferr's Environmental and Territorial Engineering team, acquired through the experience gained during the design and constant management of thousands of kilometres of transport infrastructure, was shared with an audience of professionals and sector specialists, institutions and researchers.

Hydrogeological instability protection and mitigation activities are developed by Italferr by flanking innovative methodologies, such as SAR interferometric surveys for example, with classic field surveys and by availing themselves of the know-how made available by the most illustrious experts through close collaboration with major universities.

Participation in the 6th World Landslide Forum was an opportunity for Italferr to renew its commitment to designing measures aimed at protecting the railway infrastructure so as to ensure the construction of a resilient national network capable of adapting to future climate changes.
