The Bari SS 16 ring road

During the night of Tuesday, 17 October, the technicians of Italferr, the engineering company of the FS Group's Infrastructure Hub, led the activities on the new Northbound carriageway of the Bari SS16 Ring Road (scheduled to open to traffic on Saturday, 21 October) for the diversion of traffic from the carriageway in provisional configuration, thereby activating the first two lanes of the new roadway.

Subsequently, work will begin on completing the Southbound carriageway, to be completed by the end of the year.

The 'Variante ANAS' project is a preparatory work for the construction of the future variant of the railway track from Bari Centrale to Torre a Mare, which will optimise the penetration of the railway networks into the metropolitan area.
