Two temporary diversions have been activated on the Caserta-Foggia railway line as part of the project for doubling the tracks and increasing speeds on the Naples-Bari HS/HC line. The relevant works were carried out during a scheduled suspension of railway services beginning at 23:00 on 8 June and ending as planned at 1:00 on Sunday 15 June.
The Site Supervision Department of Italferr was able to achieve this crucial result thanks to the beneficial operational partnership with Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and the contractors of the "Lot 1 Frasso Telesino-Telese" and "Lots 2 and 3 Telese-San Lorenzo Maggiore-Vitulano" contracts, marking a significant progress towards the completion of the infrastructure, highlighting the passion, commitment and great professional skills of all involved.
The activation of the two diversions, in fact, represents a key step in ensuring continued rail services while carrying out the next project phases. Furthermore, this will allow the release of the interfering areas, which is necessary to complete the new tracks in the two subsections, running alongside the existing line.
