Italferr presents its new Management Systems Policy

Important “guidelines” for achieving a more ethical, innovative and sustainable future

On 3 July, Italferr officially adopted its On 3 July, Italferr officially adopted its new Management Systems Policy, a strategic and cultural document aimed to strengthen the company's commitment to operational excellence, sustainability and innovation, in accordane with the values and Business Plan of the FS Group and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.

The Policy defines the principles and objectives that guide all company activities, integrating business process management in the areas of quality, environment, health & safety, energy and social responsibility, in accordance with the international ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and SA8000 standards, and guiding the organisation as a whole towards the implementation of an integrated, sustainable and competitive engineering model.

The highlights of the policy are:

  • Shared values and stakeholder engagement: promoting sustainable and inclusive development, with a focus on the local communities.
  • Ethics, transparency and human rights: responsible procurement, child protection, respect for the dignity of work.
  • Inclusion and equal opportunities: valuing people, combating all forms of discrimination.
  • Environmental protection and efficient use of energy: minimising the environmental impact, promoting virtuous practices and renewable sources.
  • Innovation and digitisation: adoption of advanced technologies through the use of artificial intelligence.
  • Training: continuous training for developing human resources and dissemination of ethical and social principles.
  • Quality culture: maintaining high performance standards.
