A new governance for Agens. Dario Lo Bosco appointed Chair of the Scientific Committee

The general meeting held in January endorses the new strategic course adopted by the Confederation Transport Agency

Agens, the association representing the interests of the transport and services sector within the Confindustria system, has announced the intention to strengthen its governance structure by appointing Dario Lo Bosco as Chair of its Scientific Committee.

The appointment of the CEO and General Manager of Italferr was formalised by the President of Agens Gianpiero Strisciuglio, at the general meeting held on 12 January 2026.

The choice of Mr. Lo Bosco reflects the association's desire to strengthen the role of strategic analysis and technological innovation in the transport and logistics sector, at a crucial juncture for the sector's digital and ecological transition.

The appointment confirms Agens’ commitment to driving change in the sector through the engagement of high-profile expertise, in support of the adoption of innovation and cutting-edge technology applied to transport, while continuing to promote academic research and dialogue between industry and institutions.

Dario Lo Bosco expressed his gratitude by commenting: "I feel honoured to take on the role of Chair of the Agens Scientific Committee and can’t wait to start working to transform the technological challenges facing us into concrete opportunities for the future of mobility, focusing on service efficiency and modal integration."
