Italferr obtains SA8000 certification and receives the prestigious SGS MERIT AWARD

In December 2025, Italferr achieved two important milestones, obtaining SA8000 certification and receiving the globally recognised Merit Award from SGS.

By obtaining the SA8000 certification, Italferr confirms its ongoing commitment to high standards of social responsibility and fair and safe working environments, proving that engineering is not just about technology, it’s also about responsibility and respect.

Also thanks to this further achievement in management system certification, Italferr was awarded the Merit Award by SGS, a world leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification services.

This award is assigned exclusively to certified companies that excel in integrating different management systems, according to a virtuous and continuous approach.

This achievement is a testament of the dedication of the entire Italferr community, and the award goes to all those who have helped Italferr become a benchmark of excellence in the engineering sector, through their daily work and their commitment.

The Merit Award rewards Italferr for both its compliance with specific standards and its effective integrated management of these systems and its deeply rooted corporate culture of continuous improvement.

But this is just another milestone in an ongoing process, because Italferr has also rolled out two new Management Systems on Artificial Intelligence and Energy and is now working towards obtaining the relevant certifications in 2026.
