Deputy Minister Rixi at Italferr’s Head Office

On 1st October 2025, the Head Office of Italferr – Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, hosted the Deputy Minister of Infrastructures and Transport, Edoardo Rixi.

This constructive meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Dario Lo Bosco, the Board of Directors, the Board of Auditors, the Company’s Top Management, as well as Mr Capomolla, Managing Director of Ansfisa, testifying to the institutional relevance of the event.

During the visit the Deputy Minister was taken through an in-depth look at the strategic vision for developing Italy’s infrastructural network, in line with MIT directives and in synergy with RFI colleagues. Particular attention was given to progress with key National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the support Italferr continues to provide to local administrations, as shown in the recent agreement with Città Metropolitana di Roma Capitale for implementing innovative digital systems in public works.

Thereby, Italferr confirms its place as a driver of hi-tech Italian engineering in the world present at 15 offices abroad and involved in adopting cutting-edge technologies for ever more sustainable and efficient planning. One concrete example is the new Operations Room, which will from the digital core of worksite management and control by the end of the year, integrating technology, safety and Italian know-how, on a platform of worldwide excellence thanks to the use of BIM 4D and 5D.

This innovation is yet a further piece of Italferr’s leadership when it comes to producing strategic infrastructural projects, with the aim of intermodal mobility that is efficient and sustainable, with firm determination to achieve “zero deaths” in the workplace.

Winding up the meeting, Mr Lo Bosco expressed sincere thanks to Deputy Minister Rixi and the entire Board of Directors for their attention and trust, confirming Italferr’s and Gruppo FS's central role on developing infrastructures to benefit the Country’s growth and competitiveness, extending Italian know-how internationally.
