Italferr is involved in the construction of the new Naples-Bari High Capacity line, a strategic work envisaged by the 'Sblocca Italia' Decree Law, financed with NRRP funds and an integral part of Core Corridor No. 5 "Scandinavian-Mediterranean (Helsinki-La Valletta)".

SUB-PROJECTS
Construction of a variant to the existing Naples-Cancello line for a total length of 15.5 km passing through the new Napoli Afragola HS station.
Doubling and speeding up of the historic line between Cancello and Frasso Telesino and Frasso Telesino-Vitulano for a length of about 46 km. 25 level crossings will also be eliminated.
Variant doubling of a stretch about 47 km long of the Apice-Orsara section of the line, 80% of which will be in tunnels, with construction of the new Hirpinia station.

In addition to the work on the railway lines, there are also plans to upgrade the stations in Naples and Bari, involving the adoption of the latest traffic management technologies: Central Computerised Interlocking (ACC) and Central Computerised Multistation Interlocking (ACCM).
